Be aware of charlatans trying to sell you lucid dreaming (and beware of low vibration internet trolls, goes w/o saying!). The more aware you are of how in control you are and how much power you have, the more likely you are to have a lucid dream. It makes sense that the more present you are in your waking time (being in the now, rather than fretting the future or judging your past), the more lucid you'll be in your sleep time.
Find the stuff you resonate with, but only pay for what you really want, do not let anyone sell you your gifts back, and some of the best info I've gotten was free.
Did you ever see the Richard Linkletter movie called "Waking Life"? Depending on your POV, it was an animated movie either about a guy (my old friend from Austin, Wally Wiggins) either having a lucid dream or a death experience, the viewer decides.

the part about flipping light switches sounded silly to me, until I was in a dream I didn't know was a dream, and the lights didn't work!
