hi everybody i'm curious about a deck of cards i came upon in a crystal shop today.. doreen virtue's healing with the faeries oracle..
i chose a card while thinking of my ex and was given 'Marriage - the fairies will celebrate the blessing of your marriage'
what can i take from this? something literal? how do these things work?
((while trying to find the wording of the card as i couldn't remember it exactly i also found this - "the booklet says according to pythagorean numerology, the cards will swing in synchronicity with the question, and so you will always get the right card for your question."))

Wed, September 2, 2009 - 2:11 AMWhen I do cards for others, (I have about 7 different decks and IChing) I have Dr. Virtue's Ascended Masters and Goddess Guidance decks, they tend to be in vibrational alignment with a lot of people, and they like that they get a complete reading off one card (plus I like the art!).
In my personal opinion, it wasn't about your ex, but a new relationship, or business partnership or even coming into your own and fully committing to yourself.
If the card was upside down, she says it may signify "blockage: in an area that needs addressing or healing" and "gives insight into areas of your life that need addressing". Most importantly she believes one aught "use their own emotional guidance system in interpreting these cards" (from Guidebook for Goddess Guidance Cards). -

yea i was very surprised at that being the one card i picked up! but why would it be about something other than me and my ex as that was what i was focusing my question on.. wouldn't it say something like 'the fairies say it's over forever and ever' if it were something 'contrary' to my ex and i? -

when one person reads cards for another, it is psychometry. the cards are simply a tool that is created to make it easier for the interpreter to understand the message that is being passed on.
when you ask a question, either an answer is given, or a clue that will lead you on the path to your answer.

Wed, September 2, 2009 - 5:55 PMwhat specifically was the question. the thing about asking questions like that is you need to be very specific.
when you were thinking about your ex, was the question " is there a future" or was the question " how do i feel about him now", was it "how is he doing without me" or "will i be able to get over him" and so on.
it could simply be that you don't have closure and the reason for the card was to make you think carefully about your emotions and make a decision on what you really want to do. -

I think what you need to ask now is " will i marry him withing the next year?"
the answer can be given to you in any form. it doesn't need to be just from the cards. although that is easier to understand for many people.
you can ask the question very specifically in the form of a prayer.
ask any spiritual figure that you trust and they will listen.
ask them with your heart to provide you with the answer to your question in a way that you will understand and will make no mistake. ask them to provide this answer before you go to sleep that night. then follow on with a extra request; if you do not notice their answer for whatever resaon, please continue to give it and keep giving the answer until it is fully understood.
you can ask whoever you wish, you can ask an angel, you can ask fairy oracle, you can ask jesus, you choose your own messenger. -

i think i have an affinity with fairies or elemental beings of that kind but i'm not sure

some people think angels seem silly but take greater stock in saints.
some people look to the ancestors.
some people (christians) look to god and jesus christ.
I have become accustomed to hearing people say " this resonates with me" it means that you like the sound of something, it feels right. it is because it is on teh same frequency as you. if you like it, it most likely works for you.
so as you say, you think you have an affinity with fairies and elementals, then it is likely that you are resonating with that concept, those would probably be your messengers.

Thu, September 3, 2009 - 5:34 PMwhen i recieved my answer, it was clear as day. it came in waves. first time i noticed it, i was thinking "that's odd" then it came again immediately afterwards. this time i was more puzzled, then it came again and then again until I said " yes this is my answer." i was confident that i had recieved my answer and the messenger was satisfied and i thanked them.
you can see the answer in my photo album titled "trinity symbol". it's what lead me to tribe almost a year ago. -

I think the full moon is a great time for asking tough questions. It adds an extra charge if you have a connection like your zodiac were Cancer, or identified with certain mystery schools like Diana or Isis. Mostly, I think the full moon just casts a lot of light in dark mysterious places. -
